I am an Assistant Professor (officially "Profesor Ayudante Doctor" according to the Spanish University System) in the Applied Mathematics Division of the Department of Mathematics at the University of the Basque Country (EHU). I am also a member of the Research Group on Applied Mathematical Modeling, Statistics, and Optimization (MATHMODE) of the Basque University System.
My career has been largely dedicated to academia. From 2014 to 2020, as a student (when Bacheloring and Mastering); from 2020 to 2024, as a mix of student and researcher (when PhDing); and from 2024 to 2026, as a full-time researcher (when Postdocing).
Although my positions have always been based in the Basque Country, I have actively sought opportunities to broaden my international experience. Prior to my current professorship, I spent a year and a half at Curtin University in Perth, Australia, within a postdoctoral training program funded by the Basque Government. I have also carried out research stays at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences of the University of Texas at Austin, USA, and at the Institute of Mathematics of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso in Chile. In addition, I have participated in numerous international conferences and research activities, and have even organized or led some of them.
On this website, you will find a brief personal biography, together with an overview of my research and teaching activities.
