As a technology integrator in the 21st century, I will work relentlessly to help teachers, schools, and governments use digital tools to enhance and improve learning outcomes for students. I will research the trends in classroom technology and the success that tools bring to the learning experience. I will share these in my work with people and institutions. Working within the constructs of standards, I will help teachers use digital tools in ways that enrich the teaching and learning experiences and ignite excitement in the classroom. Wherever possible, I will rely on project-based, real-world lessons that align to curriculum standards. Together with teachers and school leaders, we will find software like simulations or games as well as hardware like developer kits and electronics that will make the learning come alive. Students will learn the subject-matter curriculum standards and digital literacies in a highly interactive, collaborative environment that will prepare them for careers of the future and critical skills for lifelong learning.
