Tournament Rules

2026 Cupertino Rotary Golf Classic 18-hole tournament Rules of Play:

1) The tournament competition is among foursomes and has a shotgun start at 12 Noon

2) Women play from the red tees, men from the blue tees

3) Proximity holes - Hole #7, 10, and 17: for a $5 entry fee you win a sleeve of balls if you land a ball on the green and a box of balls if you are in the circle marked around the pin.

4) Longest Drive - Hole #12: Competition for both Men and Women

5) Scramble format:

a. All players of the foursome tee off

b. The foursome picks the best drive position, and all four players hit their

second shot from that position.

c.  And so on until the ball goes in the hole

d. One score is recorded per hole for the foursome.

e. At least three of each player’s drives must be used.

f.  No handicaps are used

g. Prizes awarded for low all-ladies group, low mixed group and 1st , 2nd , 3 d , and  10th  overall

h. If you have just 3 players, then rotate who plays the fourth ball.

Yellow ball game

a. On each hole, one player of the foursome plays with the yellow ball.

b. Rotate the yellow ball player in the order of names on the scorecard.

c. If your group hasn’t lost its yellow ball by the end of the round, you’ll be entered in competition for the yellow ball prize.
