Xin chào,
I was born and spent the first 17 years of my life in Vungtau city, Vietnam. In 2008, I moved to London to study B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Economics at Queen Mary, University of London and worked as nail technician and assistant accountant. In 2014, I went back Vietnam to work at Vietnamese German University in Binh Duong new city.
In September 2016, I moved to New Zealand to pursue the Ph.D. in Economics at Victoria University of Wellington, under the supervision of Prof. Ilan Noy and A/Prof. Eric Ulm. Then I started working full-time at MBIE as a data analyst and currently work at RBNZ as a senior economics analyst.
My research interests include:
Disaster economic
Canterbury earthquakes sequence
Earthquake recovery
Disaster insurance
Building resilience
Property market
Financial stress testing
In addition, I have a strong interest in playing tennis. Currently, I am in the top 1000 tennis players in New Zealand.
