PROGRAM
PROGRAM
OBJECTIVE
The 2025 Migration Summit aims to establish a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collective action among key stakeholders — including governments, civil society, academia, the private sector, and international organizations — to comprehensively address the challenges and opportunities posed by human mobility in the Mesoamerican region.
From Chiapas, a strategic territory due to its role in migration flows and as a place of refuge, this second edition seeks to:
Promote sustainable alliances among regional and international actors, encouraging shared responsibility in the development of more humane and equitable public policies.
Design innovative, viable, and measurable strategies to strengthen the protection of human rights and foster social and economic inclusion, while acknowledging the dynamics of the regional migration industry.
Advance community development from a mobility perspective, recognizing migrants as agents of change and host communities as spaces of transformation and resilience.
Event Program
The first day will focus on a series of panels and conferences featuring national and international experts, who will share analytical perspectives, key data, and success stories related to each thematic pillar. This space aims to highlight the complexity of the migration phenomenon and its impact at the local, regional, and global levels.
The second day will be dedicated to simultaneous working groups organized by thematic axis, facilitated by specialists and field leaders. The goal of these sessions is to propose viable and sustainable regional solutions, promote cross-sector collaboration, and strengthen networks among the various actors involved in migration processes.
