1. What is Telematic Art? Research

Researching examples of telematic art works.

2. Stories of Separation: researching literature on the topic of immigration

Researching essays and studies that can provide a deeper understanding on how immigrants and displaced people use Internet and social media in an effort to feel connected to their families and countries of origin.

3. Collecting real life stories

Participants can carry out interviews with immigrants and refugees, as well as with expats in different countries, for the purpose of collecting real life stories. They can also choose to use their personal experiences of displaced living.

4. Choosing a poignant story as a source of inspiration for developing the concept and plan for the telematic art work

The participants will select the most interesting story, collected during the research, and will develop the concept and idea that will constitute the foundation for a telematic art work. They will elaborate a sort of storyboard and a plan on how to realize the art work, including: technical and logistical details, necessary equipments, potential partners and artistic collaborators, and all the resources and information that can help explain the actual factibility and implementation of the project.

5. Creation of the art work

On the bases of the concept and plan developed the participants will create a telematic art work.

6. presentation and exhibition of the created works

As a conclusion of the workshop there will be a presentation aimed at sharing the interesting aspects of the research and the work created.
