Who is Elsa Leite Fenabel and What Happened to Her in Dubai?

Elsa Leite Fenabel is a Portuguese businesswoman who is the president of Fenabel, a company that specializes in producing chairs. She is also the president of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Paredes, a city in Portugal. In 2009, she went to Dubai to try to collect a debt of 150,000 euros from a Lebanese partner who had not paid for the furniture he had ordered from Fenabel. However, she was kidnapped and threatened with death by the partner, who forced her to sign a document that forgave the debt and transferred the ownership of Fenabel Middle East, a branch of Fenabel in Dubai, to him. She was also subjected to personal insults and defamation through photos and videos with montages. She managed to return to Portugal after signing the document, but she continued to receive threats from the partner, who demanded more furniture for free. She reported the case to the Portuguese police and Interpol, who are investigating the matter.
