Sharing updates and moments together
We had the opportunity to attend SPISE 2026: Guiding Sustainable Transitions with Sensory Evaluation, held in Nha Trang, Vietnam. We took part in the workshop sessions, which offered valuable hands-on training and deepened our understanding of methodological approaches in sensory and consumer science. It was also a great opportunity to connect with sensory science researchers and professionals from across Asia and beyond.
Our lab was recently featured by the IFT Sensory and Consumer Sciences Division as part of their spotlight on institutions advancing sensory science education and research. Read the full feature.
We had the opportunity to attend the KoSFoST International Symposium 2026, held in Daejeon, Korea. At this symposium, Dain and Seong-joo presented posters sharing our recent research findings. We also had the chance to attend several insightful sessions in the sensory science division, along with a range of talks covering the broader field of food science, which gave us a valuable opportunity to expand our knowledge and gain new perspectives across the discipline.
Participation in Sensometrics 2026 (Valencia, Spain)
Our lab participated in Sensometrics 2026, held in Valencia, Spain. Through research presentations and academic discussions, we had the opportunity to share our work, explore recent advances in sensometrics, and connect with international researchers in sensory and consumer science.
We are pleased to congratulate Jisu Park on completing the M.S. program in our laboratory.
During her time with us, Jisu contributed to our research and shared meaningful moments with the team.
We appreciate her efforts and wish her continued success in the future.
Participation in Pangborn 2025 (Philadelphia, USA)
We participated in the Pangborn Sensory Science Symposium 2025. At this international conference, a master’s student from our lab gave an oral presentation titled “Decoding the characteristics of Korean fermented soybean paste: a comparative profiling using CATA-optimize-to-ideal, liking/disliking CATA and ideal profile method.” It was a valuable opportunity to share research and connect with scholars from around the world.
We presented a poster sharing our recent research findings and had valuable discussions with researchers and experts in the field of food science and technology. This symposium provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, broaden perspectives, and strengthen academic networks.
