I am looking for students interested in pursuing a master's degree in the field of optical wireless communications. If you are interested in studying at JAIST, please feel free to send me an email. :)

What is new

I visited the University of Oxford from September 2024 to December 2024. I would like to thank Prof. Steve Collins and Prof. Dominic O'Brien for hosting my visit. This visit was part of the JSPS Fostering Joint International Research grant. During my stay, I conducted optical wireless communication experiments using silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) sensors and achieved several Gbps transmission data rates using eye-safe lasers.

The following photo is of the All Souls College, taken from the inside of the Radcliffe Camera on a nice sunny day :)

I will be giving an invited talk at IOCP 2024. The conference is online and free to attend.

Please consider submitting your recent work to the Special Issue of "Intelligent Computing and Wireless Optical Communications" in IEEE Photonics Technology Letters  Open for submission

My paper entitled "Fluorescent antenna based on Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) for optical wireless communications", recently published in Optics Express, has been selected as an Editor's Pick.

This involves very interesting interdisciplinary research between information science and materials science. This collaboration involves Prof. Hideyuki Murata from JAIST and Prof. Steve Collins from the University of Oxford.

Please find the paper here: https://doi.org/10.1364/OE.523128

My research proposal submitted for Fund for the Promotion of Joint International Research (Fostering Joint International Research), 国際共同研究加速基金(国際共同研究強化) is accepted by JSPS.
