No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Cub Foods from you as an app user.
Favorite products, recently browsed items, shopping cart lists, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
Cub Foods is a modern grocery catalog and food discovery app built for browsing products by category, searching items, saving favorites, and keeping a local shopping list — with no real online checkout, payments, or order placement.
We designed this app so you can explore groceries and food products without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:
Your name
Your phone number
Your email address
Your home or mailing address
Your date of birth
Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)
Photos, contacts, or camera data
Precise GPS location
No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.
3. Information Stored On Your Device
To power your browsing experience, Cub Foods stores the following locally on your device only (Room database and DataStore preferences):
Favorite product IDs
Recently browsed product history
Local shopping cart items and quantities
App settings (light mode, dark mode, and system theme preference)
This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user. Data you manage in the app remains on your device — we do not receive it as personal user profile data.
4. Local, On-Device Processing
Cub Foods is designed for local processing wherever possible. Core features — including home browsing, categories, search filters, product details, favorites, cart, recently viewed items, and settings — run on your device using locally stored data.
Your favorites, cart, and preferences are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. You can browse the catalog offline after product images have been cached, though an internet connection is needed to load product images and advertisements.
5. Catalog Browsing & Cart Only
All product listings, prices, and cart quantities in Cub Foods are for catalog browsing and personal shopping-list convenience only. The cart does not place orders, process checkout, or complete purchases.
We do not process payments, deposits, withdrawals, or financial transactions within the app.
6. Advertising
Cub Foods displays advertisements through Google AdMob to help keep the app free to use. Ad formats may include banner ads near the bottom of screens and full-screen interstitial ads when you switch between main sections.
Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP address), app interactions with ads, and technical device data to deliver, measure, and improve ads. This data is handled according to Google's policies, not stored by us as a personal user profile.
You can limit ad personalization on your device through:
Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

7. Third-Party Services
Google AdMob is used to serve advertisements. Product images may also be loaded from third-party image hosting services. We do not send your saved favorites, cart contents, or app preferences to AdMob as personal profile information.
If you share content using your device's standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us.
8. Cookies and Tracking
The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics or cross-app tracking services within Cub Foods.
Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use identifiers permitted by your device and Android settings to measure ad performance. We do not build personal profiles about you based on your in-app activity beyond what is required for ad delivery through AdMob.
9. Network and Permissions
The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:
Internet — required for loading product images and displaying advertisements through Google AdMob
Network state — used to check connectivity before image and ad requests
Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob for ad delivery and measurement on supported devices
We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location.
There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app. Your locally saved favorites, cart, and preferences remain on your device during normal app use.
10. Data Security
Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers.
Your favorites, recently browsed items, cart list, and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.
App preferences are stored using DataStore on your device. Favorites, recent items, and cart records are stored using Room Database. You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your device settings.
11. Children's Privacy
This app is intended as a grocery catalog and food discovery utility. It is designed as a casual browsing experience and does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:
Settings → Apps → Cub Foods → Storage → Clear storage
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored favorites, recently browsed items, cart contents, and app preferences from the app's private storage area.
13. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
