Events

We have many events throughout the year such as, Camping, Hiking and other outdoors activities, Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold Banquets, and other things we will have planned throughout the year. 

Outdoor Activities

We do many outdoor activities in scouting. We swim, hike, climb, and do many more fun and exciting outdoor activities. We don't really do many advanced hikes, usually its like a mile walk through a forest or something. For swimming, if you don't know how to swim certified trainers will teach you how to do the standard strokes such as, butterfly, freestyle, and backstroke. If you do know how to swim you will do a swim test. For climbing, at some of our campouts they will have a rock wall in which the scouts can choose to climb. 

Camping

In scouts we do a lot of camping which every one likes. Some of the things we do at campouts is Archery, BB Gun shooting, Rock Climbing, and many other things of that nature. If you would like more info about camping go here or here

Pinewood Derby

Every year we have an annual Pinewood derby. This is a friendly competition between the scouts in which we get to race cars that we made. At a meeting we will give out Car Kits. These will include a block of wood, 4 wheels, and axels. You will get to draw out a design of car on that block of wood then at a car cutting party someone will cut the block of wood into the design you drew on it. Then you will get to color the car put the wheels on and then WE RACE!! The day of the derby we will have lunch for the attendees we will race cars vote on whose car looks best, and take home trophies! Its a really fun day if you like cars and winning trophies.

Blue and Gold Banquet

Every year we hold a Blue and Gold Banquet for the moving of AOL's. The AOL's (Arrow of light's) will move on to a troop of their choosing. It will be a whole ceremony including lunch, awards, skits, and the final event being the AOLs moving on to the troop of their choosing.
