Welcome!

Pack 1968 meets at Laurel Ridge Elementary School in Fairfax, VA, and is chartered to the Kings Park West Civic Association. Our monthly Pack meetings are usually the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 7-8 pm in either the cafeteria or the multi-purpose room.

Cub Scouts is a great way for kids to learn new skills, make new friends in their grade level that they may not have gotten a chance to know yet, and above, all have fun. The Cub Scout program is open to all children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. If you are interested in joining our pack or would like some more information, please contact us. We welcome new scouts!

Why Pack 1968?

We take pride in providing the highest quality program for our children and it shows! Our pack is GOLD, the highest level in scouting four years running, and we are well on our way to GOLD for next year!

We believe that every child deserves a trained leader, and therefore offer free training to all adult leaders. Our staff is very active in scouting from running and staffing the Patriot District Day Camp, to teaching other pack leaders at the Cub Scout Round Table.

We have been using Scoutbook for awards tracking and advancement since 2014. Scoutbook allows you to track and update your scout's advancement from your computer, tablet or mobile device easily. In addition, you can share it with grandparents and extended families and get them interested as well.

We are popcorn and camp card sales-powered, which allows us to keep our dues low and do more for the community.

The biggest reasons to join Scouts is the fun the kids have, the life lessons learned, and the lasting friendships that are made! Join us!
