Here you will find information on the membership fees, scout uniforms, and the application forms. If you are interested in joining our Cub Pack, please do the following to officially join our pack and begin your journey with us. You can also print this checklist in a printer friendly version of this checklist.

STEP 1: Complete the Scouting America Youth Application

Go to: https://my.scouting.org/online-registration/8aa7100f-8775-4e06-be6c-0cc551e80453/applicant-type

Complete the Youth application.

STEP 2: Complete the Scouting America Adult Application

Complete the Adult application at the same website as Step 1.

Once you have completed both the Youth and Adult applications, the website will direct you to pay for the national fees.

STEP 3: Complete Safeguarding Youth Training

This course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete.https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/

To complete the application process, the registered adult (i.e., the adult who signed up in Step 2, above) must complete this training. However, all adults who will be participating in scouting events must complete this training to protect the scouts.

This training must be taken every year.

STEP 4: Download and print out thie Registration Checklist

Download and print out the registration checklist from our Cub Pack 329 website: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n4Rrf9kZFSdIyZRKhyjGkzLBSGkYRTI4/view

You will attach this checklist to all the forms that you will submit.

Fill out your email address on the second page of the form. It should be a gmail account. It will be used to provide you access to the Cub Pack’s private website and your den chat group after you complete the application process.

STEP 5: Complete Cub Pack Forms

Complete the Code of Conduct & Waiver (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LA3_Cz26-izNMVCBn0IFLAVUWBjgqOX6/view).

Complete Medical Forms A & B (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mKbuDGFthQPJ2PnwdTfw6KT3TXiVhkyd/view) for your child and adult.

Medical Forms A & B is required for everyone in your family who participates in any scouting event. These forms need to be updated annually, so it is a good idea to keep a digital copy of the file and make any necessary changes. This way, you don’t have to keep filling out the form from scratch every year. 

STEP 6: Return All Forms and Check

Return the Registration Checklist, all forms (i.e., Registration Checklist, Code of Conduct & Waiver, Medical Forms A & B), Safeguarding Youth Training completion certificate, and Cub Pack dues to your Den Administrator.

Make check payable to “Cub Pack 329”.

Your Den Administrator will verify that all items are complete and follow up with you for AB506 completion (3-steps process that is not due with the forms).

STEP 7: Complete the State Mandated Reporter Training (AB 506) Requirements

Go to https://californiascouting.org/glaac/ and start at Step 1: REQUIRED STATE MANDATED REPORTER TRAINING. This course takes approximately 2 hours and is only completed once when you join the Cub Pack.

Once step 1 is completed, upload the certificate in step 2 of the same website.

Complete a Live Scan background check in step 3 of the same website.

Complete AB 506 requirements within 2 weeks after joining the Cub Pack. The Greater Los Angeles Area Council has kicked people out of the Pack if they did not completed the process.

You must complete (1) Safeguarding Youth Training on the Scouting America website and the (2) state-required AB506 training and (3) Live Scan background check before your applications are considered complete. 

Upon completion of registration and notification from Council, we will forward an invite to Cub Pack 329's private website where our calendar and monthly activity sign-up resides. Your Den Leader will also invite you to the private Den parent chat for day-to-day coordination for meetings after your registration has been completed.
