Camping

We are headed to Camp Jarvis in PA near Valley Forge National Park. Below you will find an itinerary, packing list, and scouting information for the trip (thanks camping coordinator, Jim Duba!).  There is a lot of flexibility built into the schedule to allow dens some freedom to work on adventures while there or for some free time to play around and explore.  

Two important points about the packing list: please pay attention to weather as the day approaches and pack accordingly (maybe even over pack) for the cold or rainy nights, and not all items are necessarily required (such as a fishing pole if you don't plan to fish). 

We ask that anyone planning on attending the trip please sign up on the Google Form below and pay expediently (electronically below or in person), or contact Jonathan Ayer or Nick DeLong to coordinate payment.  We are keeping our trip costs down at a very reasonable amount to cover the costs of food, site fees, and supplies.  Scouts are $10 each and family members are $15 each.  All family are welcome to come, including siblings, parents, etc. The sooner you can signup the better we can prepare our shopping list for food supplies.   

A few last reminders: 

1. If anyone has never camped before, don't hesitate to ask questions and to borrow supplies. 

2.  As mentioned at our meeting, don't be afraid to work around your family schedules.  If you can't make the entire trip, please be welcomed and consider attending part of it (come Friday evening through any part of Saturday, or come Saturday and depart Sunday, etc).
