If you want feature-rich in-ear earbuds with active noise cancelling for running, choose Cubitt Tracking Technologies Power Earbuds Pro; if you need a rainproof headset designed to attach to a helmet, choose Domary BT 5.3.
The deciding difference is the fit and purpose: Cubitt is a conventional earbud set with workout-oriented sweat resistance, while Domary is built around helmet use and longer continuous playback.
For most runners choosing between these two, I’d lean toward Cubitt, but its noise cancellation and in-ear fit may not suit every outdoor route.
Cubitt Tracking Technologies Power Earbuds Pro vs Domary BT 5.3 at a Glance
• Cubitt’s biggest strength: active noise cancelling, dual-microphone call noise reduction, and up to 30 hours of total playback with the charging case. Trade-off: playback per charge is 6.5 hours with ANC off and 4.5 hours with it on.
• Domary’s biggest strength: a helmet-oriented design, IPX7 rainproofing, and a stated 20–30 hours of continuous playback. Trade-off: it is built as a helmet headset, not a conventional set of in-ear running earbuds.
• Cubitt is for: people who want everyday wireless earbuds with ANC, a low-latency game mode, and IPX5 splash and sweat resistance.
• Domary is for: riders who want a headset intended to attach to a helmet and prioritize rain protection and extended playback.
Cubitt is the more familiar choice for someone who wants compact, in-ear Bluetooth earbuds rather than audio equipment designed around a helmet. It combines active noise cancelling rated at 22dB with dual-microphone ENC for calls. Those features serve different purposes: ANC reduces background sound for the listener, while the microphone processing is intended to reduce wind and environmental noise reaching the person on the other end of a call. They make Cubitt the more versatile option for commuting, music, and general daily use.
For running, the useful details are IPX5 splash and sweat resistance and multiple ear-tip sizes. The available information supports workout use, but it does not establish that the earbuds will fit every runner securely. The replaceable tip sizes give you options to find a fit; they do not turn these into open-ear headphones. If you want to hear more of your surroundings while running, consider that the listed noise control is active noise cancelling, not an open-ear design. I would be cautious about using ANC on roads or busy shared paths where awareness matters.
Battery life depends on how you use them. Cubitt is listed for up to 6.5 hours per charge with ANC off, or 4.5 hours with ANC on, and up to 30 hours total with the 500mAh case. USB-C charging is included, and the stated standby time is 90 days. Bluetooth 6.0, AAC and SBC support, and a wireless range of up to 10 meters round out the everyday feature set. A 60ms game mode is a bonus for video or gaming, although it is not a running-specific feature.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.

Who should skip it: Skip Cubitt if you need a headset designed to mount to a helmet, or if your priority is a long stated playback span without relying on a charging case.
Domary is not simply another pair of regular earbuds. It is described as a helmet headset, with a back clip and fasteners included, and it is designed to fit most helmet types. Its listed compact measurements are 8.6 × 4.4 × 2.2 cm. That makes its intended use clearer than Cubitt’s: this is aimed at people who want audio integrated with a helmet, especially for cycling or other riding, rather than runners looking for a conventional earbud set.
The durability emphasis is different, too. Domary lists an IPX7 rainproof rating, compared with Cubitt’s IPX5 splash and sweat resistance. It also describes a windproof microphone design and claims clear voice transmission at high riding speeds. Those details point toward wet-weather and helmet use, but they do not establish that Domary is a good fit for running without a helmet. If you are shopping for the best open ear headphones for running, neither product is specified as open-ear; Domary’s helmet-oriented construction makes the mismatch especially important.
Domary uses Bluetooth 5.3 and supports AAC and SBC. Its stated wireless range is 10–30 meters, and its 1000mAh built-in battery is specified for 20–30 hours of continuous playback. The product information also lists a full recharge in two hours, while a separate description gives a 20–60-minute charging time. Because those charging claims conflict, I would not rely on a precise recharge estimate. Domary’s sound description mentions 3D surround sound and a 40mm speaker unit, but those labels alone do not let us make a direct sound-quality judgment against Cubitt.
Who should skip it: Skip Domary if you want lightweight, conventional earbuds for running or specifically need active noise cancelling; the listed design is helmet-focused and does not specify ANC.
• Best fit for conventional running earbuds → Cubitt Tracking Technologies Power Earbuds Pro. It is an in-ear earbud design with multiple tip sizes and IPX5 sweat and splash resistance.
• Best for helmet-based riding → Domary BT 5.3. Its back clip, fasteners, and stated compatibility with most helmet types match that use.
• Best if you want active noise cancelling → Cubitt. It lists 22dB ANC; Domary describes noise cancellation but does not specify active noise cancelling.
• Best if rain protection is your priority → Domary. Its IPX7 rating is higher than Cubitt’s IPX5 rating, though their intended designs differ.
• Best for stated playback time away from charging → Domary. It lists 20–30 hours of continuous playback, compared with Cubitt’s 4.5–6.5 hours per charge.
• Best for a charging case and flexible listening sessions → Cubitt. Its case brings stated total playback up to 30 hours, with separate per-charge figures depending on ANC use.
• Best for gaming or watching video → Cubitt. Its 60ms game mode is specifically intended to reduce audio delay.
• Best Bluetooth version → Cubitt on the listed specification. It uses Bluetooth 6.0, while Domary lists Bluetooth 5.3; the version alone does not guarantee a better experience in every situation.
For running, the first question is not which product has the longer headline battery claim. It is whether the design matches how you plan to move. Cubitt is the more natural choice for someone seeking ordinary in-ear earbuds, but ANC can reduce awareness of traffic and other nearby sounds. You can turn the ANC off, though the product information does not describe a transparency mode. If situational awareness is central to your route, neither listing establishes that either product has an open-ear design.
Domary’s IPX7 rating and helmet fittings are meaningful advantages for the use it targets. They do not make it a universal upgrade for workouts. A headset intended to attach to a helmet may be awkward or unsuitable when you are running without one. Conversely, Cubitt’s IPX5 rating supports sweat and splashes, but it is not the same stated level of rain protection as Domary’s IPX7.
Finally, decide whether you need ANC, call noise reduction, or low-latency video audio. Cubitt spells out all three in its feature set: ANC, dual-mic ENC, and a 60ms game mode. Domary instead emphasizes rainproofing, helmet attachment, and riding-oriented microphone design. Neither listing provides enough information to declare one universally superior in sound quality, comfort, or call performance.
My Verdict
For running, I would choose Cubitt Tracking Technologies Power Earbuds Pro because its conventional in-ear design, multiple tip sizes, IPX5 sweat resistance, ANC controls, and charging case fit that use better. I would keep ANC off when I need to stay alert to nearby traffic. Domary BT 5.3 makes more sense for someone who actually wants a helmet headset and values its IPX7 rainproof rating and longer stated continuous playback. My pick is Cubitt for running, not as a substitute for an open-ear design.
They have an in-ear design, multiple ear-tip sizes, and IPX5 splash and sweat resistance, which suit workout use on paper. The listing does not establish a secure fit for every runner, and ANC may reduce awareness of surrounding sounds.
It is described as a helmet headset with a back clip and fasteners, so its stated design is aimed at helmet use. The information does not describe it as a conventional running earbud or open-ear headphone.
Domary lists 20–30 hours of continuous playback from its built-in battery. Cubitt lists 4.5–6.5 hours per charge depending on ANC use, with up to 30 hours total when its charging case is included.
Cubitt specifically lists active noise cancelling and dual-microphone ENC for calls. Domary describes intelligent noise cancellation and a wind-oriented microphone, but does not specify ANC in the same way. Neither product is described as a pair of noise cancelling gaming headphones for running; Cubitt’s game mode is a low-latency feature, not a running-specific noise-control feature.
