CubicExplorer uses a metaphor similar to Windows Explorer. It shows a main panel to view the directory (List panel) and others to control or enhance that main panel (Folders, Filters, Quickview, Dropstack panels).
The List Panel
Users view a representation of a directory in the List panel, which is always viewable. It displays files in the following ways:
The Folders Panel
The Filters Panel
The Quickview Panel
The Dropstack Panel
This panel allows you to create a collection of folders and files which are just links to the original item. The links can be used to access the item just as if you were viewing the original item. If you delete the item using the right click context menu, the original item will be deleted. If you just want to remove the item from the stack, use right click -> remove from stack.
By default, if you left click and drag something out of the stack panel, a copy will be made. If you actually want to move it from its original location, you need to click the icon in the top right corner of the stack panel ("allow move"), then use either left-click or right-click and drag. If you right click on a group name, you can open all items in the group.
The toolbar at the top of the stacks panel allows you to have multiple named stacks. To delete a named stack after it has been created, you must currently perform a "backdoor" operation by going to the CubicExplorer Stacks folder and manually deleting the stack item you no longer want. To get to the Stacks folder, copy and paste this to the address bar %APPDATA%\CubicExplorer\Stacks
