Who Can Join: Boys and Girls in Third Grade.
Den Meetings: Bears have den meetings approximately every month and also will attend the pack meetings.
Uniform: The official blue uniform shirt, along with navy pants, belt and socks. The hat is blue with a light blue front and Bear emblem. The neckerchief is light blue with the Bear logo, and neckerchief slide is gold with the light blue Bear emblem.

Fun Things You Will Do: You will do all of the pack activities along with: develop outdoor skills such as camping (setting up a tent) pocket knives, whittling, the golden rule, learning about local nature, and learning self sufficiency and helping others.
Third graders work toward the Bear rank. The Bear rank is earned by completing seven adventures as described below.
1. Complete each of the six required adventures:
Baloo the Builder
Bear Claws
Bear Necessities
Fellowship and Duty to God
Fur, Feathers, and Ferns
Paws for Action (Duty to Country)
2. In addition to the six required adventures, complete at least one elective adventure of your den’s or family’s choosing.
3. With your parent, guardian, or other caring adult, complete the exercises in the pamphlet entitled How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.
