Listed below are the Volunteer Leader positions with their current holders. Critical positions have an "assistant" role intended to give someone the opportunity to learn the job and carry on the torch. Anywhere you see "Vacant," we are in need of someone to fill that position. In an ideal world, we would fill each assistant position with time for that person to spend a year learning the ropes, and still have a year with the previous leader in the Pack after handing it off.
Many Volunteer opportunities can be accomplished without registering as an adult leader. We simply ask anyone who will be working with kids to complete "Youth Protection Training" at my.scouting.org.
Positions that require access to Scoutbook (Den Leader, Assistant Den Leader, Cub Master, Assistent Cub Master, Committee Chair, Secretary, Treasurer), require an Adult Application be completed. The process is outlined here:
Notify the Pack Committee of your intent. (We aren't going to turn anyone away!)
Complete an BSA Adult Application, and return it to the Committe Chair
Complete YPT and Position Specific Training in my.scouting.org.
Once the Adult application, YPT Certificate and Position Specific Training Certificates are provided to the Committee Chair, he/she will submit them to the Council. Processing includes a background check.
Once the application is approved by the District and background check comes back, the Committee Chair will assign the member to the position in Scoutbook, then it's official.
The last step is to work through the "handoff checklist" with the current position holder.
