Cub Scout Program names, ranks, progress & notes (the check‑marks you tap, dates you enter, optional text notes) are all saved locally on your own device in the app’s private storage
This data never leaves your device
This app does not collect device usage data (no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting, no logging to external services)
The app has no account system, no cloud backup, no advertisements, and no in‑app purchases.
Only to show your progress back to you on the same device. Deleting the app (or clearing its storage from your phone’s settings) removes all saved data.
Cub Scout Guide works fully offline.
The only network requests are optional outbound links you tap (e.g., “Learn more on scouting.org”). Those open in your default web browser; the app itself does not track or intercept them.
The app is designed for scouts with adult supervision and complies with COPPA because it:
Stores data only on‑device.
Never contacts a server.
Displays no ads or behavioral tracking.
Because all data stays on your device, exposure is limited to the security of your phone / tablet. We rely on the operating system’s sandbox to keep other apps from reading our private files.
Simply uninstall the app to erase all data.
There is no server‑side data to request, export, or delete.
If we ever add online features or begin collecting data, we will:
Update this Privacy Policy.
Bump the “Last updated” date.
Show an in‑app notice before changes take effect.
