Events

We host weekly meetings where we bring in doctors or other healthcare professionals to speak about their experiences in the healthcare profession. This provides excellent networking opportunities, and generally results in shadowing opportunities for our members. In addition, we host meetings where we discuss issues such as how to apply to medical or other health professional schools.

AMSA meets every Monday at 6pm in Benson 180.

Every fall we also host a "Pizza with Providers" event where we bring together healthcare providers and AMSA members during a dinner to allow a one-one on opportunity for the students to connect with the providers.

In the spring we host our annual Cancer Benefit Dinner fundraiser where we raise money for the Cancer League of Colorado.

Also in the spring we host our annual “Accepted to Med School Panel” where students who will be matriculating to medical school in the fall come and speak about their paths as well as answer student questions.

In the past we have hosted other events including suture clinics and various volunteer opportunities.
