What is Quality Matters in Higher Education?

As more courses are implemented partially and fully online, application of the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric is an increasingly vital process in the field of instructional design in higher education (Roehrs, et al., 2013; Lee, et al., 2020). While not yet required at Santa Fe Community College, QM course audits are highly encouraged (Title V). A passing minimum score of 85% is required to earn the QM digital badge designation. The course I designed handily earned the badge with a score of 98%. (See completed review sheet below.)
