We have been receiving a lot of thanks you’ s lately. We have so much to be grateful for.
From Debbie Sharpe - Don’t Forget to Feed Me: Dear fabulous friends of Cowtown Vettes, once again you have made an amazing impact with your collection of 393 pounds of dog and cat food and $185.00 in monetary donations!! This will go a long way in our mission to keep local pets fed and in their loving homes! We can’t do it without generous community partners like you! Thank you!! Debbie Sharpe
From Trina Hooker - 4th of July Parade: I just wanted to thank you for getting the word out to the Cowtown Vettes about the parade. It really was a wonderful and FUN event! The Vettes have been a staple in the parade for years and it means a lot to have yall there!! We will be better at getting the information to you sooner next year. Thank you again for helping. We appreciate you all!! Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July!! Trina Hooker
From Robert Geyer - Parade of Love for the Geyer’s: As I'm sure everyone knows, Cydnie is now in Home Hospice Care of which I'm her primary care giver. It's with much humility and pride that I can say I'm a part of Cowtown Vettes.
This became ever more apparent to me and Cydnie when so many of you took time from your busy lives to parade your Vettes in front of my home on a Saturday morning. The love you expressed along with the cards and gifts was uplifting for both of us and our family.
For all of your love and support we both want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I've said this before, and I'll say it again ' we came for the car but stayed for the PEOPLE.'
Special thanks to Larry and Vicki for all your support and efforts organizing the Parade of Love, as I like to call it. Robert Geyer
Stay tuned for more ways to give back. Plus, we will be partnering with Pinstripes in upcoming events. Thank's to all for your participation.
Thank you to: Bob and Kay Snegon, Cliff and Jackie Holden, William Noland and Mary Pittman, and Robyn Howard for displaying your car at the July membership meeting.

I am currently working on the 50th Anniversary Scrapbook with the hopes of having it finished by the May 7th membership meeting. It will concentrate on the 50th year of 2024, but it will also contain tidbits from 2015 - 2023. This decade included many high points for the club as well as many changes that affected the way we do things, most notable being the world wide pandemic of 2020. I see this as being the last “put together, physical” scrapbook that we will have as everything now days will be archived digitally.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Mack Maxwell who has agreed to house our archived collection of historical memorabilia, including scrapbooks, LowDowns, Blue Bars, club awards, etc.

If you have not rec’d your 50th Anniversary Cowtown Vettes commemorative Deck of Playing Cards, please attend the next Membership Meeting and see me. Each primary member / household receives one deck of cards. I’ll bring a few decks on the next cruise as well. If you’d like an extra set (or two), see me as well, we did purchase extra decks of cards- these are $5 per deck.
We will have the Events, Socials and such in the next Slideshow. The slideshow will continue to include some Corvette Trivia along with various other Corvette happenings around the country. Brian (our webmaster) does post a lower-resolution version online, on the CTV Website. Please provide any submissions for the slideshow to me no later than Sunday evening of the Membership Meeting week.
If you have been working on or updating your Corvette with new items …or if you have taken a trip in your Corvette and have some photos to share with membership, please send those to me and I’ll include them in the monthly slideshow. Cowtown’s Microsoft O365 account allows us to use OneDrive, which makes it much easier for you to provide high-resolution photos from events for the web and/or monthly slideshow. If you would like to share photos, please take them in high-resolution; if not, they can’t be used on the big screen since they would show grainy / blurry. These are needed by noon, the Monday before the Membership Meeting. If you have questions, please contact me and I’ll provide you with more information and the OneDrive link to share your photos – basically use the highest resolution option you can set on your camera or smartphone.
When you receive a CTV-ALL eMail blast, we would request that you please only reply to the originator when you are replying to a CTV-ALL email. When you opt to reply, simply select Reply on the email, then remove the CTV-All entry and replace it with the email address of the originator. If you are sending CTV-ALL emails, please include your email address in the body of the email so you have that address handy.
If you change your email or home address, Corvette, or other info – please drop an email to CTV-Membership@groups.io.
If you are not receiving CTV-ALL emails, please get with me so we can either add you or figure out why you aren’t receiving them.
More information on email distribution lists and the acceptable use of them can be found on our website.
Facebook – if you are on Facebook and not a “friend” of Cowtown Vettes, members cannot include you in tags at events; these tags show your non-club member friends all the fun we are having. Who knows, maybe some of you are in the witness protection program and don’t want to be tagged J If you are posting, be sure to tag Cowtown Vettes so it appears on our Facebook news feed.

Because of the video Cydnie and I have received countless calls, text, and emails expressing what a wonderful and moving gesture the car club did.
A heart felt THANKS to all the wonderful and caring people of Cowtown Vettes.

Hi everyone,
Many thanks to those who took a chance on our 50/50 drawing last month. Mike Biggers was the lucky winner of $75.00 and the money we donated to charities increased by the same amount. We appreciate everyone who contributes so that our club can have an impact in our community!
Ten Cowtown Vettes members came to the Tarrant Area Food Bank on July 26th and, along with another group, spent 2 1/2 hours sorting about 9,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables! Afterwards we treated ourselves to a great meal at Chuy’s. Thanks to everyone who came and gave up their afternoon:
Mary Pittman and William Nolan
Mike Messerli
Debbie and Jerry Lindsey
Keith Hunter
Cliff and Jackie Holden
Jack and Paula Winter
While we were there, we were told that if any of us wanted to work extra, to let them know. They needed some extra help to get caught up. If you have any extra time and want to help, our contact is Tommy McGee, and you can give him a call at 817-857-7106.
We will work another shift in November and are asking for an evening shift, so people who are still employed can
We look forward to seeing you all soon!

Corvette Racing leveraged late-race pit strategy to land itself a second-place result at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on July 13th, 2025, compliments of the No. 4 Corvette Z06 GT3.R fielded by Pratt Miller Motorsports.
With 80 minutes left on the timer, engineers made the call to pull the No. 4 Vette of Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg into the pits for a fuel top-off. The duo had previously lost time in the pits, dropping them to ninth in-class, but a series of late-race caution periods gave Catsburg the opportunity he needed to put the No. 4 Corvette Racing team back toward the front of the field.
The pit lane strategy granted Catsburg and Milner their first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar podium of the 2025 racing season. Because of their efforts, Chevy maintains its lead in the GTD Pro Manufacturers Championship.
“That’s the name of the game sometimes. We for sure didn’t have the car we hoped for or wanted today,” Milner said. “It was hard to drive. We took a risk and made a stretch call there that worked out in our favor. In talking to the guys on the pit stand, this is a place where you don’t have little moments; you have big ones.”
Meanwhile, the No. 3 Corvette Racing GTD Pro duo of Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims held onto the Drivers Championship lead thanks to a fourth-place effort by the team. Alex Udell and Robert Wickens guided the No. 36 Vette to their best GTD class finish of the season in Wickens’ second time out in Corvette Racing machinery.

Howdy fellow Corvette enthusiasts!
I am working on our new Club Website and look forward to my role as Webmaster.

Success came in pairs for Corvette Racing this weekend. Pratt Miller Motorsports notched a second-place class finish at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in IMSA action, while TF Sport’s No. 81 Corvette Z06 GT3.R mirrored that performance with an LMGT3 runner-up spot in Sāo Paulo on July 13th, 2025.
Charlie Eastwood, Rui Andrade, and Tom Van Rompuy shared the seat of that blisteringly fast Corvette Racing machine. The second-place finish was the best so far for the trio in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) this year. It also marked the team’s second consecutive podium result, hot on the heels of their third-place showing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They also leapfrogged from sixth place to fifth in the LMGT3 Drivers and Teams standings after five races with three left to decide champions in both.
Another great result today with P2,” Eastwood said. “As we’ve seen many times this year, TF Sport executed a really solid race – great strategy, no mistakes, no penalties, which I feel today there were more penalties than most WEC races, and we just were able to capitalize on that to get a great P2. I definitely feel like some momentum is behind me now. I had a tough sort of 18-month start to this journey but with now three podiums in a row with TF between Le Mans, Imola in ELMS and here, I’ve no doubt that we can continue to get podiums at every event to close out the year.

LowDown Article - NCM Ambassador
May 2025
In addition to being the Cowtown Vettes Historian, I have also assumed the position of National Corvette Museum Ambassador.
The NCM is located at 350 Corvette Dr in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
In addition to the Nostalgia Gallery “which takes visitors on a journey through the iconic eras of Corvette history, showcasing classic models and memorabilia that celebrates the timeless appeal and cultural impact of America’s Sports Car”, there are special exhibits, educational opportunities, special activities, museum car delivery and also, the NCM Motorsports Park.
One of the special exhibits available now through 12/31/2025 is Speed Captured: The Photographic Works of Richard Prince. Prince spend 30 years documenting “the evolution of the Corvette and its historical role in racing”.
Also, coming up in the latter part of April is the Museum Bash and in August they will celebrate the 31st anniversary of the museum.
If you haven’t been to the museum, I would highly encourage you to make the trip to see it and if you are not a member I would encourage that also, as a way to keep up with what is going on in the Corvette world and as a way to connect with other Corvette enthusiasts.
Information regarding memberships, tickets, etc are available on the NCM website.
