Our Current Contest

Write a profile on a person or group making a difference in your area

Submit an original piece of journalism highlighting the efforts of someone making your local community and the world a better place. Be creative, you may profile anyone from a close friend to a famous neighbor.

What we hope to see

Length: 400-2,000 words

Open to: all students enrolled in a Connecticut high school or equivalent homeschooling program 

Submission period: 2/15/24

Judges: TBD

No entry fee.

Prizes

Two winners will earn publication in [TBD], in addition to recognition in the 'Previous Winners' section of this site.
