Welcome to the Computational and Theoretical Soft Matter (CTSM) lab in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Delhi-NCR. The prinicipal investigator of the lab is Dr. Swaminath Bharadwaj.
The CTSM lab focuses on understanding bulk and interfacial phenomena in soft matter systems using a combination of molecular simulations, free energy calculations, statistical mechanical and mean-field theoretical approaches. A complimentary focus is to develop methods for the thermodynamic characterization of solute solvation shell, particularly for flexible solutes such as macromolecules, using a combination of molecular simulations, advanced sampling methods and theoretical frameworks such as small system thermodynamics.
We are interested in polymers, biomolecules and membraneless polymeric condensates, and understanding the interplay between polymer conformation/condensate properties and stimuli (physical and chemical) effects.
