Fasting Rule: You must fast for 4 to 6 hours before your CECT Abdomen & Pelvis scan. Only clear liquids (water/black coffee) are allowed.

Creatinine Report: A recent Serum Creatinine blood test (within 15 days) is mandatory to ensure kidney safety before contrast injection.

On-Site Testing: If you don't have a report, Henotic Diagnostics can perform a rapid Creatinine test at our center before your scan.

Medication: If you are on Metformin, please consult our staff as you may need to pause this for 48 hours post-scan.

Hydration: Please drink 1 liter of water 1 hour before your appointment to help with bowel visualization.

Post-Scan: Drink 2 to 3 liters of water after your scan to flush the contrast dye from your system.

Hydration is Critical: Drink 2 to 3 liters of water over the next 24 hours. This helps your kidneys flush the contrast dye out of your system quickly and safely.

Resume Your Diet: You can eat normally immediately after the scan unless specifically instructed otherwise by our radiologists.

Metformin Instructions: If you were asked to pause Metformin, do not restart it for 48 hours after your scan to ensure your kidney function remains stable.

Monitor for Reactions: While rare, if you notice any delayed itching, hives, or nausea after leaving the center, call Henotic Diagnostics or your doctor immediately.

Report Turnaround: Digital reports are typically available within X to X hours via WhatsApp or Email. Physical copies can be collected from our Kharghar center.
