The 33rd Critical Theory Roundtable will take place in person at the Denison University conference facility in Columbus, Ohio on October 23-24, 2026. The Critical Theory Roundtable explores the most recent work in the heterodox and multiple traditions of critical theory, bringing together philosophers, political theorists, sociologists, historians, legal theorists, literary theorists, and all those interested in the critical humanities, arts, and social sciences broadly conceived.
The organizers invite submissions for papers on all issues related to critical theory. Each speaker will have approximately 20-25 minutes for presentation, followed by discussion. If you are interested in presenting a paper, please submit an abstract of 250-500 words and a brief bio describing your interests in critical theory, including current affiliation, current research, and major publications. These materials should be sent as a separate email attachment (word or pdf) to: criticaltheoryroundtable26@gmail.com
The deadline for submissions is July 22, 2026. Decisions regarding the program will be made by August 7, 2026. Further information regarding hotels, travel arrangements, and conference schedule will be available with the conference program. Questions can be directed to Barbara Fultner, our host at Denison University, at fultner@denison.edu.
