The 32nd Critical Theory Roundtable (CTR) will take place in person at Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts on the weekend of November 14-16. The CTR explores the most recent work in the heterodox and multiple traditions of critical theory, bringing together philosophers, political theorists, sociologists, historians, legal theorists, literary theorists, and all those interested in the critical humanities, arts, and social sciences broadly conceived.
The organizers invite submissions for papers on all issues related to critical theory. Each speaker will have approximately 20-25 minutes for presentation, followed by discussion. If you are interested in presenting a paper, please submit an abstract of 250-500 words and a brief bio describing your interests in critical theory, including current affiliation, current research, and major publications. These materials should be sent as a separate email attachment (word or pdf) to: criticaltheoryroundtable25@gmail.com.
The deadline for submissions is September 12, 2025. Decisions regarding the program will be made by October 3, 2025. Further information regarding hotels, travel arrangements, and conference schedule will be available with the conference program. Questions can be directed to Nathan DuFord at nduford@smith.edu and/or Erin Pineda at epineda@smith.edu.
