Jager Loyde

Artistic Director

Nolan Jager Loyde received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas and his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University. He currently serves as a Director of Fine Arts in Round Rock ISD and previously served as the Assistant Director of Instrumental Music and Director of Bands at Cedar Ridge High School.

Throughout his educational career, bands and orchestras under Mr. Loyde’s direction have received consistent superior ratings in Texas University Interscholastic League Concert and Sight Reading Evaluations. Complementary to these achievements, the Sudler Shield nominated programs under his direction have been consistently successful in several marching events including Bands of America Regionals, Super Regionals, and University Interscholastic League State Competitions.  

While currently serving as the Music Director of the Central Texas Philharmonic Youth Orchestra; Mr. Loyde continues his professional impact by serving as a nationally recognized adjudicator, clinician, and conductor appearing at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, Music For All Summer Symposium, numerous State Music Educator Conferences and Marching Championships, and many Bands of America Regional, Super Regional, and National events.  Most recently, he was a faculty member for the Bands of America Honor Band in the 2022 Rose Parade and serves as an Adjudicator for Bands of America and Drum Corps International.  In his free time, Jager enjoys creating art and capturing complex concepts through minimalist photography.  Mr. Loyde is grateful for the opportunity to continue to share his experiences and perspectives with educators, students, and community members who are passionate about the arts, personal growth, student achievement, and leadership.


Justin Anderson

Music Director

Justin M. Anderson is currently the associate orchestra director at Westwood High School. Previously, he was the director of orchestras at Grisham Middle School in Round Rock ISD. Under his direction, his orchestras performed at UIL Concert and Sightreading evaluations with Superior Ratings, and his orchestras have won many festival competition categories such as "Superior Performance", "Best in Class" and "Overall Outstanding Orchestra".

Mr. Anderson is from Odessa, TX and majored in music education at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Mr. Anderson has performed with the Fightin’ Falcon Band, University Choir, Philharmonic Orchestra, Piano Ensemble, and University String Quartet.

He also has had many accomplishments such as performing with the Juilliard formed "Cassatt Quartet" through the Cassatt in the Basin Project.  In 2016, Justin Anderson was invited as a guest conductor at the Texas Orchestra Director's Association Convention. 

Mr. Anderson has also performed with the Midland-Odessa symphony as a violist, and has worked with summer music camps at the university and high school level. 

Justin is currently in his 9th year of teaching and is the orchestra director at McNeil High School in Austin, TX. He is professionally associated with the Texas Music Educator's Association, Texas Orchestra Director's Association, and Texas Music Teachers Association. 

Justin currently lives in the Austin Metroplex Area and in his spare time enjoys graphic design, gardening and yard work, and just being around great people!

Susan Williams - Strings and Full Orchestra

Mrs. Williams began her teaching career 44 years ago in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas after graduating from Del Mar College and Corpus Christi State University (now TAMU Corpus Christi).  She started teaching in 1979 and taught three years for Corpus Christi ISD. In 1982 she was hired by Austin ISD. During her 19 years in AISD, she taught concurrently at LBJ High School, Pearce Middle School and numerous elementary schools.  In 1995, the LBJ Symphony Orchestra was named the Texas Music Educators Full Honor Orchestra. Their excellent performance at the TMEA Convention in February of 1996 was well received. In 2001 Susan started teaching at Westwood High School. During her 16 years there, the Westwood Orchestra members were consistently successful.

Michael Arnold - Brass

Michael is the principal trumpet for the Central Texas philharmonic Orchestra. He is also an active freelance musician in the Greater Austin Area, performing weddings, festivals , and churches, as well as teaches a studio of students.

Shawn Karson - Woodwinds

Shawn Karson is the Second Bassoonist with the Northwest Florida Symphony and Gulf Coast Symphony, as well as Contrabassoonist with the Punta Gorda Symphony, Central Texas Philharmonic, and Brazos Valley Symphony orchestras. He has performed around the United States with groups such as Austin Symphony Orchestra, Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Florida Orchestra. Other organizations include Miami Ballet, National Music Festival, Taneycomo Music Festival, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and Miami Music Festival as well as serving as Guest Principal Bassoonist with the Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra in London, United Kingdom.

    A devoted teacher, Shawn manages a private studio of fifty plus students in and around the Central Texas independent school districts. He also teaches a handful of students virtually who span across the globe.

    A native of Fort Myers, Florida, Shawn holds a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance from University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Music in Bassoon Performance from Florida State University College of Music. His primary teachers include Kristin Wolfe Jensenand Jeff Keesecker.


Adrienne Inglis - Woodwinds

Founder, award-winning composer, and singer with Inversion Ensemble of Austin, Texas, Adrienne Inglis also serves as principal flute with the Central Texas Philharmonic and flutist with flute/harp duo Chaski. She has music degrees from Lewis and Clark College and the University of Texas at Austin. Frequently drawing on her family history and Ojibwe, Venezuelan, and Scottish ethnicities, Inglis composes choral, chamber, and orchestral music. An avid birder and environmentalist, she lives in the rural hill country of Central Texas.
