This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile applications "Danca Öğren" and "Dansk Prøve" ("the Apps") developed by C. T. Knight. It does not cover this website or the e-book "500 Danca Fiil" sold on Amazon, which are governed by their respective providers' terms.
Your privacy is important. In short: the Apps do not collect, store, or share any personal data on any external server. Everything stays on your device, with one exception described below.
Information We Collect
The Apps do not collect any personal information. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not require your name, email address, location, or any other personal identifier to use the Apps.
Data Stored on Your Device
The Apps save certain information locally on your device only, so that your progress is remembered between sessions.
For Danca Öğren this includes:
- Your favorite verbs ("Favoriler")
- Verbs you mark as learned ("Öğrendiklerim")
- Verbs answered incorrectly in the quiz ("Yanlışlarım")
For Dansk Prøve this includes:
- Your quiz progress and scores per opgave
- Your purchase status (whether you have unlocked full access)
- Saved writing drafts
- Your language and settings preferences
- A counter for AI feedback attempts used
This information is stored only on your device using local storage. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this information is permanently deleted.
AI Writing Feedback (Dansk Prøve only)
Dansk Prøve includes an optional AI writing feedback feature. When you request feedback on a writing task, the text you have written is sent securely to Anthropic (anthropic.com), the provider of the Claude AI model, for analysis. This text is used solely to generate feedback and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy (anthropic.com/privacy). We do not store, read, or share your writing text. This feature requires an internet connection and is entirely optional — you can use all reading tasks and save drafts without it.
In-App Purchases (Dansk Prøve only)
Dansk Prøve offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock full access, processed via Google Play. We do not handle or store any payment information. All payment data is managed by Google under their own privacy policy.
Internet Access
Danca Öğren works fully offline. It connects to the internet only when you choose to open an external link such as ordnet.dk or Amazon.
Dansk Prøve works offline for all reading tasks. It requires an internet connection only when you use the optional AI writing feedback feature or make an in-app purchase.
Audio
In Danca Öğren, pronunciation audio files are bundled inside the App and play directly from your device. No audio is streamed or downloaded at runtime.
Third-Party Services
The Apps do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking services. Dansk Prøve uses Anthropic's API solely for the optional AI writing feedback feature as described above.
Children's Privacy
The Apps do not collect personal information from anyone, including children. They contain no ads and no social features.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
