CSpathshala proudly announces the second conference on Computational Thinking in Schools (CTiS2020) to be held at virtually on 2nd and 3rd October 2020 at 2 pm.

In response to the call for abstracts for CTiS2020, 306 abstracts were received from teachers across Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. To encourage and support increased participation of the teachers, regional rounds were also conducted.

Our two-day virtual conference features Keynote Speaker Prof. Sridhar Iyer, Department of Computer Science and Engineering @IIT Bombay. A special session with Distinguished Speaker Prof. Jeannette M Wing, Avanessians Director, Data Science Institute @Columbia University, NY on 2nd Oct at 8.30pm. The conference also features presentations of selected abstracts with sessions on implementation of computational thinking, fun activities and innovative examples used by teachers in classrooms!

CSpathshala is an Association for Computing Machinery India (ACM India) initiative to bring a modern computing curriculum to Indian schools. Computational Thinking advances the notion that the mathematics and science behind computer science, go way beyond the simple ability to use computers, and can be taught and discussed in schools without even the use of computers.

The registration is free and open till 30th September, 2020. Registration is mandatory.
