If you want a permanent, hardwired solution for charging a battery that is difficult to access in your car, choose CTEK Connect CIG Plug; if you need an immediate, visual alert system to keep your tires at the correct pressure while driving in the city, choose Anki HappiGo 4Pcs. These two products solve completely different problems, and picking the wrong one means you will end up with a tool that sits on your shelf while you ignore the real issue under your hood or in your wheels. One is a sophisticated piece of wiring infrastructure designed for long-term vehicle maintenance, while the other is a simple, mechanical sensor kit designed for daily safety checks without any electronics or apps.
• CTEK Connect CIG Plug: Its biggest strength is creating a permanent, secure connection point for batteries hidden deep in engine bays, allowing you to charge via the 12V socket; its trade-off is that it is a single-item accessory limited strictly to charging tasks.
• Anki HappiGo 4Pcs: Its biggest strength is providing an instant, color-coded visual warning (Green/Yellow/Red) for tire pressure drops without needing power; its trade-off is that it only works within a specific narrow range of 32-35 PSI and offers no data logging or remote alerts.
• Who each pick is for: The CTEK plug is for the owner who treats their car like a machine that needs professional-level care and hates hunting for battery terminals. The Anki set is for the driver who wants a low-tech, fail-safe way to spot under-inflated tires instantly during city commutes.
The CTEK Connect CIG Plug is engineered for a very specific frustration: the modern car battery that has been moved from a convenient location to a cramped, hard-to-reach corner of the engine bay. In many vehicles, accessing the battery requires removing panels, lifting floor mats, or working in tight spaces where standard clamps simply won't fit. This device solves that by establishing a permanent link between the battery and the vehicle's electrical system, specifically utilizing the 12V accessory socket as the entry point. Once installed, you never have to fumble with heavy clamps again. You simply plug your CTEK charger into the car's cigarette lighter socket, and the internal wiring bridges the gap directly to the battery.
This product is built for durability and longevity, featuring cables that are tested to be flexible and hardwearing. Since it is designed in Sweden, the build quality reflects a focus on reliability over flashy features. The unit includes a 2-year warranty, which signals confidence in its construction. If you own a motorcycle or a car where the battery is buried under plastic trim, this is not a luxury; it is a practical necessity that saves you hours of labor when your car dies.
However, you should skip this product if you do not own a compatible CTEK battery charger or if your battery is easily accessible. It is a single-purpose tool. It does not monitor battery health, it does not tell you the voltage, and it does not replace a standard battery cable. It is purely a bridge. If you are looking for a gadget that plugs into your phone or displays data on a screen, this is not it. It is a passive, robust connector designed to make life easier for someone who already understands the value of proper battery maintenance.

The Anki HappiGo 4Pcs set takes a radically different approach to vehicle maintenance by focusing on tire pressure, a critical factor for safety and fuel economy. Instead of relying on electronic sensors that require batteries, software updates, or dashboard integration, these caps use a simple mechanical principle. They are made from chromed metal and PC materials, designed to withstand the elements while changing color based on the air pressure inside the tire. This makes them ideal for drivers who want peace of mind without the complexity of a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) subscription or app pairing.
These caps are calibrated specifically for a pressure range of 32 to 35 PSI (2.2 to 2.4 Bar). They operate on a three-color system that anyone can understand at a glance. When the tire is perfectly inflated, the cap glows green. If the pressure drops by 10%, the color shifts to yellow, serving as a gentle nudge to check soon. If the pressure falls by 25%, the cap turns red, indicating a dangerous level of under-inflation that requires immediate attention. This visual cue is particularly effective for city driving, where potholes and curbs frequently cause slow leaks that go unnoticed until a flat occurs.
There are important limitations to consider with this product. It is not universal; it only works within that specific 32-35 PSI window. If your vehicle requires 38 PSI or 28 PSI, these caps will not function correctly. Furthermore, the installation requires care. Each cap comes with a small black washer that must remain attached to the valve stem. As noted in the design warnings, these washers are prone to falling out during removal, making them nearly impossible to find once lost. You must remove these caps before taking your car to a garage for service, or risk losing the components entirely. It is a low-cost, high-visibility solution for the average sedan or small SUV operating in standard pressure ranges.
• Best for hidden battery access → CTEK Connect CIG Plug: If your battery is tucked away behind panels, the Anki caps offer zero help here, whereas the CTEK plug provides a direct, permanent line to the power source.
• Best for visual tire monitoring → Anki HappiGo 4Pcs: No amount of wiring will tell you if a tire is low; the Anki caps provide an instant, color-coded alarm visible from outside the vehicle.
• Best for durability and warranty → CTEK Connect CIG Plug: With a 2-year warranty and Swedish engineering standards, the CTEK unit is built to last through years of plugging and unplugging.
• Best for immediate, no-power alerts → Anki HappiGo 4Pcs: These work without batteries or electricity, using pure physics to change color, ensuring they work even if your car's electrical system fails.
• Best for specific pressure calibration → Anki HappiGo 4Pcs: If your car runs exactly on 32-35 PSI, these provide a tailored safety net that generic TPMS systems might miss due to lag.
• Best for complex charging setups → CTEK Connect CIG Plug: If you use a smart charger regularly, the CTEK system streamlines the process, removing the need to locate terminals every time you need a top-up.
• Best for simplicity of installation → Anki HappiGo 4Pcs: Screwing four caps onto your valves takes minutes; installing the CTEK plug requires routing wires and potentially modifying the engine bay layout.
• Best for preventing blowouts → Anki HappiGo 4Pcs: Under-inflated tires are a leading cause of blowouts; the red alert on these caps gives you a clear reason to stop and fix the problem before it becomes catastrophic.
I would buy the Anki HappiGo 4Pcs for my daily city driving because maintaining proper tire pressure is a constant, invisible battle that these caps make visible. In the urban environment, where speed bumps and debris are common, catching a slow leak early prevents costly repairs and dangerous situations. The color-coded system removes all guesswork, and the fact that it requires no power source means I don't have to worry about dead batteries or syncing issues. While the CTEK Connect CIG Plug is a brilliant tool for those who need it, it is a specialized accessory for a niche problem. The Anki set addresses a universal safety need that affects every drive I take, making it the more valuable addition to my vehicle.
Yes, as long as the pressure remains within the 32-35 PSI range, the mechanical indicator will function regardless of whether the tire is filled with regular air or nitrogen, since it relies solely on pressure volume.
Absolutely. The product is designed as a permanent connection for hard-to-reach batteries, meaning it stays installed in the vehicle so you can access the battery whenever needed without disassembly.
If your tires require pressure above 35 PSI, the caps may show green even when slightly under-inflated relative to your specific needs, as they are calibrated to a fixed 32-35 PSI window.
No, the CTEK Connect system is proprietary and designed specifically to attach quickly to CTEK battery chargers, not to third-party brands that use different connector types.
