Theatre Manager, Jason Vogt took on a new role during COVID delivering items to student's homes two or more days a week during remote learning.

from BHS to table

If COVID 19 has taught us anything, it is how to do our jobs in different ways. Since October, our staff has been working together to distribute and deliver culinary supplies to students in Culinary 1, 2 and Nutrition and Conditioning classes. From coordinating schedules and routes, managing communication, packing bags and delivery driving, the team has made over 1000 deliveries to student's homes!

A huge thank you to our partner, the West Bremerton Safeway. This would have been impossible without their help.

Family & Consumer Science teachers, Mrs. Lobe and Ms. Blank take a quick break from distributing food to pose for the camera.

Parent volunteer, Stephanie Ferschke packs culinary supplies at the Callow Ave Safeway in October

Students show off their creations in class via Zoom. Many students reported enjoying cooking at home.

Bags were packed several times a month for pick up or delivery to BHS students.

DECA members qualify for international competition

Bremerton High School Seniors Christopher Lane and Matthew Quall placed 7th at the State Career Development DECA conference this year. They qualified for the International Career Development DECA conference in April. They will compete against students across North America in their Sports and Entertainment Team Decision Making event. As part of the competition they took a written exam in which they scored very well and recorded a roleplay video that was shown to their judges. They beat out 65 other teams to qualify for the ICDC conference. We wish Chris and Matt luck as they compete and represent BHS in April.

Pottery students create good fortune for BHS staff

Students in BHS Pottery classes recently created ceramic fortune cookies to commemorate one year since the beginning of the COVID shutdown. Mr. Painter spearheaded this effort and presented staff members with these beautiful and meaningful creations.
