Radio hams are a sociable lot, both on- and off-air.
The CTARC holds regular monthly members' meetings at our clubhouse at the Round Table / Belvedere Community Centre off Laidlaw Lane, Rondebosch. Directions to it are here.
We meet on the fourth Saturday each month at 14h00 S.A.S.T.
There are a few exceptions to our usual meetings:
Our March flea market, which happens on the first Saturday in March;
The August International Lighthouse Weekend, where we operate a field station at Green Point Lighthouse;
Also, our last meeting of the year is in November, so there is no December meeting.
Our meetings generally begin with feedback from the Committee on matters affecting the club. This is followed by a presentation of some aspect of amateur radio by a club member or invited guest speaker. This is followed by tea and biscuits and an opportunity for amateurs to chat face to face with each other.
On occasion, a meeting may be a visit to an interesting site away from the clubhouse.
Details of all meetings are broadcast on our Sunday morning bulletins and appear in the blogspot.
Our Annual General Meeting is held at the clubhouse in July.
Visitors, spouses/partners and new members are always welcome.
