Eligible tires are Toyota original equipment (OEM), original equipment alternative (OEA), winter (WIN), tire and wheel packages (PKG), and winter tire and wheel packages (WPK). Coverage eligibility is determined by date or until 2/32" or less of tread remains, whichever occurs first.
Hybrid-related components, including the hybrid battery, battery control module, hybrid control module and inverter with converter, are covered for 8 years/100,000 miles.
Starting with the 2020 model year, every hybrid battery warranty is being increased from 8 years or 100,000 miles, to 10 years from date of first use, or 150,000 miles whichever comes first.
ToyotaCare — 2 years / 25,000 miles
Scion Service Boost — 2 years / 25,000 miles
Complimentary services include an oil change (if applicable), tire rotation, and a Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection.
Note: For the GR Supra, a tire rotation is not a required maintenance item. The front and rear tires are different sizes.
How many services are covered under the ToyotaCare plan?
Toyota recommends service every 6 months or 5,000 miles, whichever comes first. Vehicles based solely on time will receive up to 4 services under the ToyotaCare plan. Certain models require a different maintenance schedule as described in their Maintenance Guide. This is the typical timeline for ToyotaCare and does not reflect the Toyota 86, Toyota Yaris iA, and MY19 Yaris which all receive a maximum of three (3) services. The Supra receives a maximum of two (2) services. ToyotaCare for Mirai is enhanced to cover normal factory recommended maintenance (maximum of seven (7) services) for 3 years or 35,000 miles, whichever comes first
Is there a grace period once ToyotaCare expires?
Toyota recognizes that customers typically bring their vehicles in for maintenance service around, but not necessarily precisely at, the recommended interval. Therefore, as an accommodation to this customer behavior and in the interest of customer satisfaction, the final service interval may be performed up to 30 days/1,000 miles* after the program end date and/or mileage expiration (e.g., for most vehicles, up to 25 months from retail date or 26,000 miles, whichever comes first). Maintenance services beyond this accommodation period will not be accepted.
Can a customer be reimbursed if they have any of their services completed at an independent service provider?
No. The ToyotaCare no cost maintenance plan is only valid when the service is performed by a participating Toyota dealer in the continental U.S. and Alaska.
Note: If a customer pays for a ToyotaCare service that should have been covered by the ToyotaCare program, the customer should contact that servicing dealer to request for reimbursement
