We are taking video submissions from students across the state of Connecticut! We are looking for students in grades 6 - 12 to tell us why they love playing their instrument, and why other students should pick the same one. We will compile these videos into one video per instrument and display them on this page for teachers to help in their recruiting processes.

To take part in this page, please follow these directions:

1. Download this release form and have the student's parents/guardians sign it.

2. Ask your student(s) to answer these prompts:

a. Hi! My name is (your name). I'm (age) years old, and I'm in (grade) at (name of your school) in New Haven. I play (the name of your instrument).
b. I picked the (instrument) because.........
c. The hardest part about starting the (instrument) was.....
d. My advice to people who are just starting out on the (instrument) is.....

3. Upload the consent form and your video to your Google Drive (or Dropbox, vimeo, etc.) and share the link with Education@NewHavenSymphony.org.

4. We will edit the video(s) and add them to this page - don't worry about mess-ups or needing multiple takes; we'll do all the editing!
