Mutual understanding of research
within Japan’s Cool Star Community for Cool Stars 23 in Tokyo, 2026
We are pleased to announce that Cool Stars 23, one of the largest international conferences dedicated to the study of cool stars, will be held in Tokyo in June 2026. This meeting covers a wide range of topics related to the study of cool stars. In anticipation of this meeting, our workshop aims to enhance mutual understanding of research within the domestic cool star community and to explore the forefront of cool star studies.

Style : A hybrid format (On-site participation are recommended)
Disk-Planet session : Some specific topics are accretion driven activity and co-evolution of young planets and young cool stars

Magnetism session : The generation of magnetic fields in Sun-like stars and lower-mass stars and its outcomes of surface activities.

Atmosphere session : Various atmospheres from Sun-like stars and red dwarfs/giants to brown dwarfs and exoplanets.

Chemistry-Dynamics session : The formation and evolution of zero/low-metal stars and their roles in the galaxy/cosmic evolution

Mission-Analysis session : The recent developments with on-going missions such as JWST, Gaia, XRISM, and TESS and new techniques.
