Parametric Equations

Learning Objectives

• Plot points given a set of parametric equations.

• Eliminate the parameter in a set of parametric equations in order to obtain an equation in rectangular coordinates and then graph the result.

• Create a set of parametric equations to describe a curve given by a rectangular equation. 

• Recognize or produce the parameterization of a line or a line segment. Indicate the direction of the parameterization.
