Planned Parenthood Generation Action (PPGen) is a nationwide initiative to get college students involved in grassroots organizing. They encourage us to be changer makers in our communities to educate about and mobilize around reproductive freedom. Watch a short video about the organization here!
Our chapter is Rams for Reproductive Health. We are the CSU on-campus chapter of PPGen. We also work with the chapters at University of Wyoming, Boulder, and Anschutz Medical College. On our own campus, we are committed to increasing awareness of sexual health and practicing reproductive justice. We advocate for the needs of CSU students and work with other campus groups to promote safety and bodily autonomy. We also volunteer in the community and listen to people’s needs.
If you have an interest in volunteer and community work, political advocacy, or want more context for what's happening in the world, join our mailing list and help us pick a new meeting time for this semester!
LEADERSHIP
Hi! I'm Kasper (any pronouns) and I've been the president of PPGen at CSU for three years. I'm majoring in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability with a minor in Peace and Reconciliation. PPGen means a lot to me because it has connected with with local politics, community advocates, and CSU peers who care about reproductive rights and creating a safe, welcoming community for others who feel the same way. I am most passionate about LGBTQ issues, but the past three years have instilled a drive for reproductive justice that our club is constantly working towards. Can't wait to meet you all!
Hi! I'm Elise (She/her) and I've been the director of communications of PPGen at CSU for the past couple of years. I'm majoring in zoology (pre-vet) with a minor in sociology. I’m really passionate about reproductive rights, making campus a more inclusive space, and helping connect students with resources. I’m excited for all of our upcoming events and to keep building community together!
Hi! I'm Marisol (she/her), and I am one of two vice presidents for PPGen at CSU. I am majoring in sociology with a concentration in criminology with a minoring in legal studies. My interest in joining PPGen was to be a voice for Latinas and represent my community in any way I can. I think it's important now more than ever to have women and women of color in leadership roles like this one! I am excited to get to meet people who, like me, understand the importance of community and advocacy.
Hi! I'm Ina (she/her), and I am the social media manager for PPGen at CSU. I am majoring in biology and minoring in bioinformatics. My long-term goal is to become a genetic counselor and help people make educated decisions about their pregnancies. Reproductive healthcare for women is not just a professional passion, but also a personal interest, as I am deeply passionate about women's rights and healthcare advocacy.
Hi! I'm Adeline, a sophomore psychology major here at CSU. I'm so excited to share my passion for reproductive rights with such a vibrant community of rams. I'll see you at our next volunteer activity, meeting, or tabling event!
Hello! I am Isabelle (she/her), a Junior Apparel and Merchandising student at CSU and one of the new Vice Presidents of PPGen. I really love underwear and would like to go into men's and women's lingerie design! This interest is absolutely connected with my interest in reproductive rights and sexual health education, which is the reason I wanted to become involved with PPGen at CSU. I am most passionate about creating a strong and welcoming community and can't wait to meet you all!
