Here is a tool you can use to monitor your A-G courses.
You must complete 15 year-long high school courses with a letter grade of C or better. You also may meet them by completing college courses or earning certain scores on various acceptable exams.
We strongly recommend that you complete the following:
5 years of mathematics, up to Calculus
3 years of science with lab

CCC offers associate degrees and a wide range of program certificates. Students may attend for two years then transfer to a college or university.

All new first-time students are required to attend SOAR. It is highly recommended for students to reserve a date as early as possible.
All freshmen whose majors require CALCULUS should start ALEKS Mathematics Placement on their own as soon as possible.
The purpose of ALEKS Mathematics Placement is to assess your individual mathematics skills and place you into the most appropriate college mathematics course for your success.
The MESA University Program is a university level program that supports students in engineering or computer science majors throughout their college journey.
The goal is to provide students with the necessary resources and support they need to succeed in their STEM major and in the industry after they graduate.
The Beach Engineering Student Success Team (BESST)'s aims to help students succeed by supporting them academically, developmentally, and socially. The goal of BESST/Beach XP is to increase the success rate of all engineering students, particularly those whose math preparation is not at the Calculus 1 level.
By registering as part of a cohort, BESST/Beach XP students can interact with fellow students and instructors almost every day through focused tutoring, which also helps students maintain grades in challenging subjects such as calculus.
