De La Salle High School (Concord) is a suburban single-sex, college preparatory, Lasallian Catholic independent high school founded in 1965 by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, a Catholic religious order of lay men dedicated to the human and Christian education of the young, with special regard and concern for the economically marginalized. Saint John Baptist de La Salle founded the De La Salle Christian Brothers (Fratres Scholarum Christianarum) in France more than 300 years ago. DLSHS belongs to a worldwide network of educational institutions that includes over 560 schools, training centers, and educational facilities, over 73,000 teachers, Brothers, staff, and administration, working with approximately 900,000 students. DLSHS belongs to the District of San Francisco New Orleans within the Lasallian Region of North America. DLSHS’s local population includes 1,050 students, approximately 90 faculty members, and 30 additional support staff and administrators.
