Each meeting will feature a specific topic, as well as an opportunity for all participants to share ideas, questions, and concerns on any topic.

November 28: Determining students' grades (purpose of grading, ungrading, numeric cutoffs and "curving", what do we mean by "fairness" in grading?)
October 25: Expectations, conventions, and bias in written language (editing or "correcting" the language of others; Standard/Mainstream American English as a dominant dialect; handling common usages of words with reserved meanings in our discipline such as "estimate" or "significant")
October 11: Writing exams and other summative assessments (difficulty, question wording, length, similarity to practice questions... and connecting these to the purpose of the exam)
September 27: What to do when things go wrong? (working with students experiencing difficulties; working with the Student Disability Center; helping students navigate CSU's systems for withdraws, incompletes, and registration or grade appeals.)
