How to Install Windows 7
Insert bootable USB flash drive in the USB port
Power on PC
While PC is turning on, press BIOS setup key repeatedly to enter BIOS Settings
(Depends on PC Brand: F1, F2, F10, Del)
In the BIOS Settings, select Boot Tab and select Boot Device Priority.
Set the Removable Device as 1st boot device priority.
1st Boot – USB installer
2nd Boot – Hard Disk
Save the new settings by pressing F10 or ESC and confirm by selecting Yes.
Press any key to boot from USB.
Set up your language, time and currency format, keyboard or input method. You may also choose the default settings.
Click Next.
Click Install now
Read the license terms and check the “I accept license terms”
Click Next to continue.
Select Custom (Advance) in the Installation Type.
Click Drive options (advanced)
Select partition one by one and hit “Delete” button to remove the partition.
Click OK to continue.
Divide your total space by 2
Select Unallocated Space
Click "New” for partitioning
Partition of this drive can be in a 60% or 40% setting:
60% for Drive C
40% for Drive D
How to divide total space?
60% is 0.60
40% is 0.40
Multiply your total/unallocated space by 0.60 or 0.40
For example:
Unallocated Space is 25 GB,
25 * 0.60 = 15 GB
Therefore, your Drive C will have 15 GB, and the remaining (10 GB) will be your Drive D.
Enter size of your disk in MB
For example:
15 GB is 15,000 MB
(1 GB = 1000 MB)
Click Apply
Click OK
Select Unallocated Space
Click New (Leave the size as is)
Click Apply
Unallocated Space is now named as Partition 3
Select Partition 3
Click Format
Click OK
Partition 2 is the one that we created earlier (15 GB)
This is where we will install the Windows 7
Select Partition 2
Click Next to start Windows Installation
Windows will start installation. Click Restart now.
If you get this message, DO NOT press any key and Windows will boot to continue the installation.
Type the user name and computer name.
Click Next.
Enter a password and retype it
Enter the password hint.
Click Next.
Set the Time Zone, Date, and Time
Click Next.
Select your computer's current location
Windows will finalize the settings.
If installation is successful, your computer will load the desktop.
