IMPULSE (2021)
Semnocos Candamius is a reconnoiter for the Roman Army during the Second Punic War. Along with his partner Hadrius Gaius, he is traveling east across Iberia, and has fallen for a young woman with ties to the enemy state of Carthage. He is also a figment of the imagination of Isabella Marie Pulse, a struggling playwright in early 2000s Chicago. Impulse follows the personal memoirs of Isabella, alongside the story of her fictional reconnoiter, and offers insight into a series of personal experiences that bind the two to one another.
SLEEPWALKING FROM 9 TO 12 (2016)
After a troubled childhood, Seventy-three year old Fabian Grant was able to escape his past and become a revered educator in Southeast Pennsylvania. His success as a teacher afforded him a rewarding and prosperous career, most of which the lifelong bachelor has spent at his estate in Montgomery County. Now retired and enjoying a life of solitude, he is approached by a college professor and novelist named Cyrus Chambers, who is interested in a series of events that have haunted Grant his entire life. The details of the events become the inspiration for Chambers’ next novel, but the exchanges between the elder and the professor prove to be much more than the stimulus for Chambers’ next best-seller.
