SEWAGE/WASTEWATER⇨ GROUNDWATER

What’s the Story?

Glop, gloop, gurggle, EWW! When sewage pipes break or leak they can release polluted water that should be cleaned by wastewater treatment facilities. Keeping the infrastructure - the pipes, fittings, flow valves, and more - up to date and well maintained costs a lot of money and takes lots of work! The result of neglected or unmaintained infrastructure can mean contamination of many other important resources and parts of the water cycle: soil, groundwater, lakes, ponds, rivers, streams and the oceans! Keeping our sewage systems up to date and well cared for is very important.
