What’s the Story?

Leeeeak…. Seeping slowly through underground layers of sand, clay, gravel, and rock, the water makes its way into a stream. Groundwater moves with gravity and water pressure and helps keep streams and rivers full from beneath and continuously flowing (this is called base flow). It’s amazing how Earth’s water is all connected even when we can’t see it!
