AGRICULTURE ⇨ RIVER/STREAM

What’s the Story?

Very helpful work!! Water is used in so many ways for agriculture - humans wouldn’t have much food and many other products without it! As water flows through the farm, moving with gravity towards lower areas of land, it moves downhill towards a stream. Unfortunately, when water from farms flows as runoff into a stream, it will carry other stuff with it, causing pollution and degrading water quality. Chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, loose topsoil, and excess nutrients & bacteria from animal waste can all contaminate stream water after agricultural use, making it unsafe for swimming, drinking, wildlife, and bodies of water downstream, as the water continues its journey through the water cycle.
