STUDENT PROJECTS

MUSIC

Students create original sounds for composition, live performance, and sound effects. They explore fully in depth the potential of synthesizers and samplers through specific synthesis techniques like analog modular synthesis, FM synthesis, additive synthesis, granular synthesis and physical modeling.

Quincienca, is a Filipina-born, Bay Area-bred shapeshifter with an insatiable hunger to wreck art’s boundaries. With a background in creative writing and cinematography, they envisions the visual and emotional landscapes of her songs before they are even heard. A quinceañera is a coming of age, and Quincienca's music is a clear thesis on what it feels like to grow up.

Shadow is a an upcoming rock, heavy metal, pop song writer and singer who's taking his life and his experiences in it and creating his very own unique style of music that comes from the heart and lets people enjoy the music and lyrics as well as connect.

SOUND DESIGN

Using a wide-variety of sound production techniques and software tools, students create a completely original soundtrack for film or video. In these works, students compose, orchestrate and arrange original music; design original sound effects; develop a personal sound library; create and record Foley and voice-overs and make use of SMPTE and MTC to synchronize all your sound and music to picture.
