About Me

Dr. Indraneel Mukhopadhyay, Ph.D., is a distinguished academician, researcher, and education leader with over 21 years of academic experience and 4 years in the IT industry. Currently serving as Professor and Head of the Amity Institute of Information Technology, Amity University Kolkata, he has made significant contributions to the fields of cybersecurity, blockchain, and educational innovation, while nurturing the next generation of scholars and professionals.

Dr. Mukhopadhyay earned his Doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering from the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, focusing on Network Security. He also holds an M.S. in Information Technology from Clark University, USA, where he received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement, and a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Amravati University.

His career began in the IT industry, where he worked with Wipro, NETSpace Technologies, General Technologies Inc., and Atlas Software Technologies. Transitioning into academia in 2003, he went on to serve at the National Institute of Science & Technology, Berhampur currently NIST University, Berhampur, and later at the Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Kolkata, where he rose from Assistant Professor to Professor and Head of Department.
