For this project, I had to look up different types of media and credit them properly. Most of the media will come from Creative Commons, but if not, I will say so in the post about the media.
I found this image on the Creative Commons website by searching for the word "ship." Funny enough, the ship in the image is my boyfriend's old ship, which he was stationed on.
I got the picture from Flickr.
The image is shared under PDM 1.0, which means it is free of any known restrictions. This also means that anyone can copy, modify, distribute, and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, without asking permission.

The audio I chose was a Pikachu audio from Free Sound. I have always been a Pokémon fan, and Pikachu is one of my favorites, so I figured why not do this audio. I had tried to embed it, but it was not working. So to the left of this is a link to the audio sample.
This audio is shared under CC0 1.0. The author has dedicated the work to the public domain by waiving all of his or her rights to the work worldwide under copyright law. Like the image sample, this audio is free for anyone to copy, modify, distribute, and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, without asking for permission.
Below is the link to the audio, as well as the author of the file.

The GIF I found is from GIPHY. A GIF is an image file that contains different frames of an image shown in sequence to simulate motion.
The reason I chose this GIF was simply because my boyfriend says I look like this when we play Magic The Gathering and he is beating me and I have no way to recover from any of his spells. I find it quite actually because this is true.
I could not find the license for this GIF, so I will form the TASL rule.

The video I chose was a Def Poetry video of Daniel Beaty's poem "Knock Knock." I found it not only from the Creative Commons, but also on YouTube. The poem explores themes of loss and hope through a narrative of a father-son relationship. This has always been a favorite poem of mine because of the message it conveys.
The video is under license CC BY 3.0. That means that everyone is free to:
Share - copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially.
Adapt - remix, transform, and build upon the material.
Attribution - You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
Below is a link to the video, as well as the author.
I learned a lot with this project! I never knew about the Creative Commons! I think I might explore it more, even if I do not have to. I will be honest, I did not know about the licensing. But now that I do, there are so many different types and how to cite media properly.
