My name is Elisha McCloud, and I am the school social worker for the Lenoir City School District. My position was created in 2015 as part of an initiative to improve student attendance and to increase communication and collaboration with our wonderful families. My office is located at Lenoir City High School, but I happily travel between all 3 schools in our district. I am pleased that this allows me to work with students throughout their academic careers and coordinate services with our families who have students in each school.

As the school social worker, I am here to provide our students and families with school and community based resources, crisis assistance, advocacy, and socio-emotional support to help our students reach their full potential. One of my favorite parts of this job are the home visits! I love going out to our students’ homes to meet with families and have the opportunity to provide education and intervention. With the ability to assess a student’s home environment, I bring a unique perspective to our interdisciplinary team to promote a deeper understanding of our families.
